Notes from the last NIHAC meeting:
On February 19 NIHAC hosted a repeat performance by Kevin Danaher, who
spoke on "Who Rules? Trade Agreements and the Current World Order."
Danaher is an exceptionally dynamic speaker and covered a wide range of
subjects related to globalization and the behavior of global corporations
in today's economy. He also discussed the Green Festival, a new intiative
of Danaher's organization, Global Exchange. Co-produced with Co-op
America, the Green Festival brings together green enterprises,
environmental groups, leading thinkers on the green economy, and thousands
of attendees for a two-day event with a very serious objective:
strenghtening the locally controlled, green economy and expanding popular
support for policies aimed at sustainability and social justice. For more information: http://globalexchange.org/
