A big thank you to all who contacted their legislators to try to convince them to eliminate Medicaid premiums below 200%! Unfortunately, we got premiums eliminated in the final Budget, ESSHB 2459, below 150% but families between 150% FPL and 200% FPL will be charged premiums of $10 per child per month with a 3 child cap, not a 2 child cap.. The Senate dug in their heels and the House caved. Mental Health Parity didn't pass but there is money in the Budget for a study of the prevelance of mental health problems through the Regional Service Networks and psychiatric beds in hospitals. There is 2.7 million in the final Budget to cover the 317 shortfall the Immunization Program in the Department of Health was facing!
