The Forum Title is from the original Hippocratic Oath:

I'm a 19-year cancer LIVER, (not "survivor,") who has lived in good health through the judicious use of BOTH alternative and mainstream treatment.

This group is about healing from or living with cancer through the use of alternative AND mainstream treatment, because I believe BOTH have value, depending on the particular circumstance. The most important thing in healing from or living with cancer is to do WHAT WORKS and what will cause the LEAST body damage possible. The second most important thing is to learn WHAT TO DO SO AS NOT TO GET CANCER (or other degenerative dis-ease), again, or at least to discourage cancer progression.

Only rarely does cancer "just happen;" rather, it is generally caused by an immune system that has been impaired by a dis-ease, (dis-ease = "a lack of ease"), that can include any or all of the physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological components of a person. Discussion will therefore encompass all of those.
