Description

This list will serve as:

1) A group that has a primary purpose of helping and working with PWS to OVERCOME stuttering.

2)A forum to utilize the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Neuro-Semantic® tools and other cognitve methods to help achieve that outcome. Go to www.masteringstuttering.com for further information about the primary technologies utilized on this forum.

3)A safe place for PWS where they can come and discuss/work on overcoming stuttering without the fear of being reproached or critisized for believing that it can be overcome. It is a place that where members will encourage and support PWS as they go through the journey of OVERCOMING stuttering.

What this group is not intended to be is a support group for people who stutter. Those groups are already established. BUT rather it is intended to be a support group for helping people OUT OF stuttering.

We like to think of it as a group of caring individuals going through a journey together to reach a place of free communication.

Check out the book by Bob Bodenhamer "I Have a Voice: How to Stop Stuttering" for a thorough treatment of how blocking is mentally structured plus several patterns for overcoming the strategies that run blocking.

Read a full description of Bob's new book at: http://www.masteringstuttering.com/book/index.htm

This group also strongly supports the "Stuttering Hexagon" theory as written by John Harrison in his book "Redefining Stuttering: What The Struggle To Speak Is Really All About". It is a free download at: http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/kuster/Infostuttering/Harrison/redefining.html.

Questions comments, updates, and noteworthy announcements about stuttering are welcomed. The list moderator is responsible for approval of list members and messages posted to the list as this is a moderated and private list.
