Re: Learning abilities of NF1

Hi Zubair,

First of all there is no cure for NF, learning disabilities are very
common with NF. I have then myself, you have 1 up on me I never went
to college. From what I get from your writings you have a mild form
of NF up to this point and I hope thats all you get. With learning
disabilities the part of the brain is call the Hippcampus, a MRI scan
would show if there is white matter but there is really nothing that
can be done for it. Tumors can grow anywhere on the body or even
inside the body. I am missing the bone behide my right eye so the eye
is in alot more then the other plus it's up and to the left. I also
have a tumor in the eye socket and they will not remove it, they say
it is to dangerest. They say just trying to remove it I could die,
not until it grows to the point remove it or I die or remove it and I
could die, Good odds don't you say. Do you get any pain? I do lots of
shooting pains in my feet and fingers very sharp shooting pains. I
have only had 3 tumores removed none of them have been cancer, I am
50 years old. I what to talk to my DR. about removing 1 of my right
foot at the end of the month he would have to send me to a Surgeon
for it, but may have to wait for funds are very tight right now as I
am sure the same is with everyone. To answer your ? you are doing the
things already to help yourself. You are pushing forward.

Take care,
John
