Re: [Neurofibromatosis] Re: loss of feeling

Hi, I am also having numbness in my right foot on the right side, i have had a CAT scan and a MRI and they found that there is a nuerofibroma there causing it. When this area is touched be it in my shoe or i am sitting on my foot the whole side from the pinky toe to the ankle goes numb. I am also having pain in my shoulder that makes my whole right arm feel cold and hurts. I am going to see my specialist to see what can be done.

Hi

I have numbness mainly in the 3 centre toes of my right foot, best way
to describe it is as if I am wearing shoes that are too tight and my
toes have been squashed. I also get this feeling of numbness elsewhere.
The numbness in my toes Ive had now for about 7 weeks but it is 24/7

I havent heard of MS being a problem in people with NF1 but there is a
condition called PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY
http://www.ninds. nih.gov/disorder s/peripheralneur opathy/periphera lneurop
athy.htm . If you click on this link
http://www.neurocen tre.com/slanss. php there is a short qustionaire type
test to take which can suggest wether you are likely to have peripheral
neuropathy .

I am at present waiting to see a neurologist regarding this

Hope this info is of some help

Tracey
