Hi Aaron!
Just to consider:
When no psych. meds are on board - I find Mixed anxiety with depression, especially those who have an axiety increase after training have underlying respiratory distress (allergy/asthma difficulites which in most cases as gone un-recognized and un-managed) driving the emotional yo-yo. If you are a PASS member on Zengar you'll find more comments/suggestions in sorting out whether there is this or other extrinsic variables involved. Statistically over 10yrs in practice, 72% cases with these diagnostics in my practice have had respiratory variables contributing in this way. It's most understandable if you read up on the sleep research and respiratory effort style breathing; as ultimately the inflamation undercuts sleep quality leading to depression symptoms...then when degrees of asthma or sleep apnea are involved it tends to move toward mixed dep. with anxiety.
