Re: [neurofeedcommunity] Entrainmnent Technology

Hi Sally!

I'm sure many folks have comments on using entrainment technology.  I personally do not use it during Neurofeedback, as it will be a limitation of sorts on the outcome...like an extrinsic factor, due to the nature of it's design.  It is designed to push brainwaves into the the emitted frequency range vs. teaching the brain how to balance within the frequency ranges.

I do occasionally use a few entrainment cd's or downloads when traveling...delta cd's by www.brainwave-entrainment.com i find helpful when changing time zones to catch a nap on the plane.  most of the time I simply pull out my system on the plane and preferably do Neurofeedback...yet on the 16+ hr flights, i may do both.

i stopped playing around with many of the other entrainment technologies years ago, as there was simply too much abreaction risk/occurrences with them.   Then with the further developments within ZIN it simply was most effective and efficient to do ZIN.

I'm also very weary of any theta design entrainment protocals, as have had some abreactions experienced reliving multiple emotional traumas when using a protocal that included 3-5Hz.

Molly

Hi All

I am a newbie here. I have been using Zengar NF for about 10 months
now for therapeutic reasons and have made tremendous progress with
it. I am continuing to use it with a view to bringing about
continuing positive change in my life.

I have recently come across entrainment technology that purports to
help bring about positive change through its use in conjunction with
meditation - such products as Holosync from Centrepointe, the Monroe
Institute and Lifeflow.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of these types of
products and/or any advice about their use.

Thanks for any feedback.
Sally

Hi Sally: Like Molly, I tend to stay away from entrainment to particular frequencies. I figure something like this... I'm using a nonlinear feedback approach...
