This is an interesting site for those clients that struggle with
emotional expression or for those whom want to see what is involved.
Use the link below and once you are there click on the ARTNATOMY tab at
the top, then `application' at the bottom, then `naturalistic model' at
the bottom: This shows you all of the facial muscles used for emotional
expression. If you then click on Level II at the top; on the right you
can select emotions and see the resultant expression and the muscles
involved.
In particular this can be useful with alexithymic clients so that they
can begin to familiarise themselves with body sensations involved with
emotion and hence identification of emotional responses.
