What are the specific responsibilities? Medical director is usually an M.D. who uses his medical license to give EMTs and Paramedics authority to give patient treatment in the field. I don't think EMTs even have medical authority/ability without an MD medical director outlining a scope of practice for them.
Are things done differently in New York?

YMCA Day Camp Iroquois in Manlius, NY a suburb of Syracuse is looking
for an EMT-B or higher as Medical Director for 8 weeks from end of June
to mid August.<br><br>Medical Director is responsible for health,
safety and emergency response for aprox. 400 school age (4-15 yrs old)
