Greetings from NCEMSF.
You are receiving this message because you read the NCEMSF discussion
lists through Yahoo! Groups (NCEMSF-L). Please note an important
limitation of your subscription: you are not able to post messages to the
list unless you specifically ask to have this feature enabled. Recently
I've noticed a large number of people trying to post responses through
Yahoo! Groups, which inevitably fail.
A little background is probably in order. In April 1998 we originally
chose a company named FindMail to host the archives of our discussion
forum. FindMail was taken over by eGroups, which was then purchased by
Yahoo. The intention of partnering with FindMail was to allow for quick
and easy searching of our past messages, which is something majordomo (our
listserv software) doesn't easily do. We never intended to have an
independent user base accessing the messages through a different
interface.
So, if you are one of the 80+ people on Yahoo! Groups who reads the NCEMSF
GENERAL-L messages through that Web site and would like to have posting
privileges, please e-mail webmaster@.... Alternatively, you can
sign up for GENERAL-L directly. See our Web site for more information:

Worried about NCEMSF discussion e-mail messages overwhelming your inbox?
Just sign up for the DIGEST version of the list, which will compile the
messages for a 24-hour period and automatically send one unified "digest"
to you once a day. I see that many of you are using Yahoo! Group's
interface to accomplish that "digesting" already. There is no drawback to
receiving the digest directly from NCEMSF instead of relying on Yahoo! to
forward the messages.
Please send questions or comments to webmaster@....
Regards,
Scott
