The water cycle exemplifies how all natural systems purify themselves and the world. As its flow nurtures and restores plants, animals, air, soil and us, it recycles impurities, including its own. This power sustains the unpolluted well-being of life, including our lives.

In industrial society we live excessively nature-separated lives. This disconnects our thinking from the restorative powers of hundreds of natural systems whose flow sustains personal, social and environmental well-being. We unnecessarily suffer the stress and pain of normally preventable dysfunctions, disease and disorders. The loss weakens us. It brings unnecessary expenditures to all communities on our planet.
