Dear Feride,
Thanks for writing to the group! I'm Elizabeth and I am an French-American midwife currently living in Bursa (for the next three years or so - I hope!). Esra is a Turkish midwife. I agree that Immaculate Deception 2 is an excellent eye-opening book, but if you asked me what the FIRST book that desperately needs to be translated into Turkish is - I would unequivocally say "The Cesarean" by Michel Odent. It is concise and to the point - we have to slow down on the C-sections and find a way to make doctors and women realize the dangers of what they are doing, and also appreciate what they are losing (that might be even harder, but...)...
How far along are you? I hope that you have found some caregivers that understand your point of view and your family's needs and desires. If you want to borrow some other books, I have quite an extensive library.
Take care,
Elizabeth Soubelet
