I think if we ask others to come at this time, it should be clear that we are
seeking those interested in being the organizers--not the volunteers (yet).
Does that make sense?
As I said, we are still in the process of really defining the mission of the
group. I would really like to get this foundation settled before moving on to
discussing action, because it will give us a framework to work from for all of
our future activities, and will also make it easier for new members.
Elizabeth, are you a member of IWI? Would you like to do the contact for that?
I organize the Pregnant Mums and Newborns group, but what we are doing is not
limited only to pregnant and new moms, so if you have a good general contact, it
would be great if you would do that.
I also have some contacts at the Ebelik DerneÄŸi (Midwifery Association) who are
interested in being involved.
Wed is actually better for me, and I would be available to meet sooner--like
next week or the week after, if others are also available. Is 11-3 good? Does
that give everyone enough time to arrive and do their business? Regarding
location, as I said my place is available, but not the most convenient to get to
by public transportation. If anyone has other suggestions (preferably home or
office--cafes present too many distractions), great, otherwise, I can help
people get here. It's basically a ferry ride from BeÅŸiktaÅŸ or Bebek,
depending on the time of day, to Anadolu Hisarı, where I can meet you. Then a
5-min ride up the hill.
Let me know what you guys think!
