Nothing is complicated.
You just need to prove that the baby is yours. The best thing to do is being registered in the local state clinic (saglik Ocagi) so that they know that you are pregnant, after birth they wi
ll give you the certificate.
You can ask the midvifes to visit you after the birth at home.

Dear Kori,That's crazy. It's probably just a "rural rumor"!I had my baby at home (intentionally!) in Bursa last year and nobody said "boo!" - Gabriel was born with an American midwife at our home on a Friday and on Monday I went to see my OB, who works in a private hospital, who made me a little letter "certifying" the birth that I used as a "birth certificate" at the the US and French consulates - NO probelm. True: I did NOT need to declare my baby to the Turkish authorities. .. I'm sure that would have complicated things. What is your experience with this, Dr. Hakan?Where are you planning on having your baby, by the way?Good luck =) We're all (virtually) here for you!Take care,Elizabeth
