About the Movie
In this
award winning documentary, experts give the viewer the latest information on
how babies think, feel and assimilate the environment around them during
pregnancy and in the first hours, days and weeks after birth. As we learn how
early relationships shape the structure and function of the brain, we are also
gaining a new appreciation of the wisdom of ancient cultures that understood
the importance of welcoming children before, during and after the moment of
birth.

About us
American doula, childbirth
educator and infant massage instructor Julia Steils has been living and working with families in Turkey since
2003. She completed her studies
with Dona, Birthing from Within and the Foundation
for Healthy Family Living in the US and has worked with
families and attended many births both here and in the US.
Nur and Basak are training to
become childbirth educators with Childbirth International and assisting Midwife
Asude Oflaz in her antenatal classes.
