How long are you planning to be in Ankara? Still trying to conceive, but
keeping my fingers crossed for this cycle! Knowing about the over-medicalized
birth practices in Turkey, I started looking into natural birthing options
rather early. Ideally, I'd like to birth at a birthing center that is not part
of a hospital, but I don't think that option exists here. My second choice
would to be to birth at home with a midwife and/or doula. Unless there is a
genuine emergency, I'd really like to avoid the hospital scene altogether unless
I knew for certain the doctors and nurses would leave me alone, keep their IVs
and pitocin far, far away from me, and stay out of my room unless I called for
them. What are the chances of that happening?
