The reason is , in Turkey doctors and nurses are used to control everything in birth,
They are scared of trusting a women and her instincs.
This means taking risks sometimes and Turkish couples want abirth without any risk. As you know sometimes things might go wrong. An educated women (childbirth education) knows the risks and accept them and take the responsibility.
Here the leave all the responsibility to the doctor. So the doctors doesnt want to take any risks. I cthink we cant blame them for that. There is no support for the doctor when things go wrong.
I give the opprtunity to the pregnant women to do whatever she likes unless there is any risk for the baby. When I trust the women , the women starts trusting herself and her baby, then everything goes okey.
I think you can still insist on using the pool for your birth, you can make them believe in you, and may be if they insist you can be in the pool until to the last minute and deliver on bed or table.
Good luck.
Would you like to participate in the childbirth course I will organize 2 weeks later ?

What is the justification for that? I asked the same question on a different natural birthing board and everyone was stunned that a first-time mother would be turned away. No one could find a logical explanation for the blanket rule. Perhaps you can help me see the reasoning behind it. Thanks.
