A word of caution about Cipro and some other antibiotic drugs:  They will cause your tendons to get brittle and possibly snap if you are doing any strenuous activities such as running. that is why they do not prescribe  Cipro to children, since they are usually very physically active.

A possible cause of the rise may be infection, prostatitis.  Check
with your MD. Usually a 6 week course of Cipro is prescribed as a
first approach to diagnosing and/or taking care of it.  If it brings
your PSA back down, no worries.

I highly recommend A Primer on Prostate Cancer, An Empowered
Patient's Guide by Strum & Pogliano for a survey of the medical side
of PCa management.

Good luck,
Geoff Golner
