I can't source it but I read notes that it's fine for males to have about that
much if not more as long as you have iodide with it.

been breastfeeding for almost 6 years straight now, and had a node on my
thyroid. Dulse has much less iodine but a nice flavor. My kids have a
special jar and sprinkle it on whatever they like. I also put kelp
powder in lots of edibles for them.
