There is no longer a public fundraising arm to the Iacocca Foundation that supports Dr. Faustman research. The foundation has gone back to a small private family foundation.
If you or others would still like to support the Faustman/Nathan phase II clinical human trial that continues to estimate a summer 2009 start date, please send all funding directly to the MGH Cure Diabetes Now Fund that solely supports this project.
Your support is still GREATLY needed!
Dr. Faustman's recent science publication demonstrating,for the first time, the selective killing off of the targeted autoreactive T cells in human blood samples from diabetics and other autoimmune diseases, is a first clear link translating her mice research protocol to humans.
