phase I human trial is planned to start as early as this December or January of 2008 taking an estimated timeframe of 18 months (thus the total 3 year time frame). The dosing of phase I is very low and is not expected to result in anyone having normoglycemia. The lab will be collecting valuable data such as TNF alpha levels, C-peptide, autoanitbodies, autoreactive T cells etc..
MGH is already fundraising for phase II hoping to start in mid to late 2009.
