RE: [nathanfaustmantrials] Join Lee Now's human clinical trials?

This is just my opinion - but when I don't hear any news, I take that as bad news.

I have a feeling that this great technique in mice does not ring true in humans (which has happened countless times in previous experiments in diabetes history).

Just my 2 cents....

There are many, many encouraging developments happening in other arenas, from the recent stem cell announcement out of Brazil, to the pig islet transplant successes coming from Living Cell Tech. It appears that Dr.Faustman has fallen way behind the pack in regards to verifiable cure potential. I'll take any solution, if it represents a cure for my child. Dr.Faustman's research, which once appeared to be the holy grail, will hopefully be obsolete by the time the Faustman group is ready to go into human trials.

Good afternoon all,
Greetings from The Iacocca Foundation.  We’ve been preparing for the Iacocca Celebrity Golf Tournament, which is scheduled for May 2 and 3 at Wynn Las Vegas.  We have nearly $1 million committed to date and some player slots are still available.  More information is at http://www.iacoccafoundation.org/wynn_golf_tournament.html; a special “e-Lee” electronic newsletter will go out next week with more information.
Also on The Iacocca Foundation website is a page dedicated to our research grants:
JoinLeeNow funds are supporting both the Nathan/Faustman project and that of Dr. Nadler at the University of Virginia.  Golf tournament proceeds will be dedicated to JoinLeeNow.
We appreciate the support so many of you have provided.

Subject: [nathanfaustmantrials] Join Lee Now's human clinical trials?
I know this isn't the perfect place to ask this question, but i also
know there are a lot of Join Lee Now folks here, so I'd thought I'd
ask this:

What human clinical trials currently underway are based on research
funded by Join Lee Now or the Iaccoca Foundation?

Will Nathan / Faustman be the first human trials they have funded?
