What does 2007 hold for the Faustman lab?   Message List

Re: What does 2007 hold for the Faustman lab?

No inside info. here, but I would not anticipate the human clinical
trials to begin until early 2008. In one of the update letters, it
was very clearly stated that the human clinical trials would begin
once the blood assay was completed, and that was expected to take ~18
months. That would suggest strongly that the assay is unlikely to be
finished until the fall of 2007 assuming there are no delays,
therefore I suspect early 2008 is probably more realistic.

This is getting old. Firstly Faustman published this work in the July 2001 edition of the JCI. At that time, I emailed her asking her "when will human trials...

... Why do you think human trials will begin in 2007? The last I heard, the plans were to start them in "Fall of 2008". (Fall being near the end of 2008...)...

Joshua, I never said I thought they would begin in 2007. I thought they would begin in 2003. That is what Faustman told me in 2001. I said they are four...

Very well put, Julie!! I've had type 1 for 21 years -- and I have to tell everyone that the discovery Dr. Faustman has made is, by far, the most impressive....

A few people asked why I thought the trials wouldn't begin until 2008; my reasoning is simple: the human trials cannot begin until the blood assay is...

Unlike some folks, you have been paying attention and are likely correct as far as the timing of phase 1 clinical trials. Info is posted on Dr. Faustman's...
