The 66th annual ADA scientific conference was held on June 9-13,
2006.

A group of scientists from Japan exhibited their research data
from a small study based on Dr. Faustman's 2001 published experiment
that reversed and cured diabetes in end-staged diabetic NOD mice.
The Japan group reported a 70% reversal of autoimmune diabetes was
observed in their experiment using diabetic NOD mice. This is another
research group confirming Dr. Faustman's 2001 discovery of reversing
and eliminating the underlying autoimmune disease ( without immune
suppression) leading to regeneration of islets in order to cure the
disease.
