I understand that the clinical trials will test if Dr. Faustman's
therapy stops the type 1 diabetes autoimmune attack.  I understand that
her work may have implications for other autoimmune diseases as well. 
Are they accepting people into the clinical trials who only have type 1
diabetes, or are they accepting people with type 1 diabetes and second
autoimmune disease?  I wonder about this because it would be
interesting to see if her therapy stops another autoimmune disease as
well, even if they are only monitoring the effect on type 1 diabetes. 
Any thoughts on this?  Thanks.
