POSITION SUMMARY: In addition to the Social Worker I knowledge and
responsibilities, the Clinical Social Worker II assumes
responsibilities based on advances professional experience for
planning, developing, maintaining, and carrying out program
activities. He/she may be involved in program development, educating
hospital staff and peers.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum: Over two years experience in a health care setting

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum: MSW from an accredited school
Preferred:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Minimum: Knowledge & understanding of human behavior, development
of personality, adaptation to illness. Effects of hospitalization on
patients & families. Knowledge of community resources available.
Demonstrates knowledge of and skills to work in a clinical
specialty. Conversant in Psychosocial therapy. Ability to work
independently and exercise good judgment. Ability to collaboratively
with the multidisciplinary team. Develops positive professional
relationship with department staff, physicians & hospital personnel.
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful
situation.. Ability to work with a diverse ethnic and multi-cultural
population.
