Communtiy Assistance Needed for Victim of Brutal Rape

A resident of an assisted living facility was viciously attacked when a stranger came in through her window in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 7th.   This woman was brutalized in her own home when the perpetrator repeatedly beat her in the face, raped her, attempted to kill her and essentially left her for dead. Her physical injuries are so egregious that she will require on-going medical care.   This woman already suffered from disabling medical conditions that challenged her on a daily basis and is now struggling with substantial rape-related injuries.

In light of these extenuating circumstances, we are asking the community to assist in accommodating the critical needs of this client. All of the donations collected will go directly to serve the needs of this victim and others that are enduring similar circumstances.

If you are interested in helping, please make your donations payable to the YWCA of Silicon Valley and note that you are assisting the Jan. 7th rape victim.  You can either send contributions to:  YWCA of Silicon Valley Rape Crisis Center, 375 S. Third Street, San Jose, CA, 95112, or make an online contribution at www.ywca-sv.org

However and whatever you contribute, please take an important stand against rape.
