As many of you may be aware, the NASW Cal PACE Committee has endorsed
a no vote on Proposition 8.
In that regard, I would like to invite any interested members to a
free film on Friday, September 26th at 7pm at the Unitarian
Universalist Fellowship of Los Gatos to see the film "Big Dreams in
Little Hope", a film from award winning director/author, Erin
Greenwell. The author will appear remotely on Skyppe from NYC. This
film has been praised at LGBT film festivals around the country. It
is a straightforward story of aspirations and setbacks that has
universal appeal.

Also on 10/24 we will show "The Year of Paper", a 2004 narrative
documentary that shows the first year of marriage (paper)for San
Francisco Couples-one lesbian, one straight, and one gay. This film
addresses the question, "What is the difference between a gay and
straight marriage?" After the film, a panel of diverse individuals
will share ideas and address issues regarding same-sex marriage. For
