This workshop examines disconnects and opportunities for easing the conversations between medical care providers and our clients.  Insights gained by this approach may help you bridge the cultural gap between the medical care system and the patients/families we serve.  Visualizing medical decisions as occurring through a process of growth and adaptation allows a relationship to flourish that is compassionate, satisfying and effective. 

This workshop will introduce tools to identify values and priorities, discover opportunities to reduce suffering, and offer families help in becoming ready to face difficult medical decisions.

Learning objectives:

Explore disconnects and opportunities in the two cultures that your work bridges

Try out a tool to start conversations about what's important

Brainstorm how to use the tools in your work.
