This group is for SUPPORT, as the list name states, for Narcoleptics and the friends and family of people with Narcolepsy or any sleep disorders.

We, the Mods and Owners, want everyone to feel comfortable whether they post or lurk; however, we encourage you to introduce yourself and to answer these questions so that we can know something about you:

Are you Male or Female? Age? Meds?
How long have you had Narcolepsy or a sleep disorder?
How were you diagnosed? Test(s) performed?
What symptoms are you having? (IE: Cataplexy, hypnogogic or hypnopomic hallucinations)
Include any other questions, concerns or comments you wish to add.

Also, feel free to share information, links that pertain to Narcolepsy, and to vent or complain about a bad day.

This list will not be a place for arguments. If you have a disagreement with another member, take it to private email as long as both (or more) party's agree, but do not argue on the list; arguing with a mod is a firm no-no. Also, this is not the place to discuss illegal substances, religion, or to sell products for personal gain. Continuing to do so will result in moderation and said member will be ultimately banned from the group.

We are not doctors here so offering medical advice is also not allowed; stating what works for you is okay-telling another what will work for them is not. Also, if a Mod/Owner closes a topic, it stays closed.

Due to problems on other lists, this list is set to restricted; this means that we will have to approve you prior to your first post (ONLY).

Also, please note that you can set your mail from this list as "Individual Mail," "Daily Digest," or "Special Notice." You cannot set your mail preference to "No Email." Sometimes special notices are sent out to all members and in order to receive them, your mail preference must be set accordingly.
