Dear All
After reading Caroline's letter concerning the castle and its seven
rooms. I thought and thought. It made sense. Then I thought again
about how I feel today - and it is - the castle is there, but
there is nobody at home.
I feel spaced out. Lacking contact with the world. I do have someone,
a carpenter, who is coming in on an irregular basis to box in the pipes
in the bathrooms of my house, so I do have some contact with OUTSIDE.
My doglet keeps me grounded and laughing - she loves grapes (a typical
French person!) and strips a bunch bare if given half the chance.
I climb to the top of my hill where my son has made me 2 benches for
meditation. From there I have a wonderful view of the distant hills
covered with small farmhouses, cows, sheep and fields of corn. My dog
sits with me - she adores it when I meditate. I would like to think
that she 'sees' things but she probably just enjoys my quietness and
the gentle peace of the countryside at this time of year. I consider
that we are all a part of each other and thoughts and feelings arise
concerning the natural tragedies around the world - I send these areas
light and Light and more Light. It is a most perfect place to send and
receive the love that we all have in our hearts for our fellow humans.
It is the perfect place to go inside oneself to search out those places
within the castle that are unlit, dusty and in disorder, to dig deep
into these dark corners of the soul which need to be faced. Then comes
the return walk down the hill - a serpentine path carved out by my
lawnmower - which enables me to see Mont St Michel - to consider the
pilgrims from the East and, to bring us nearer our time, the members of
the services during the last 2 European wars who walked, crawled and
rode over this soil. The land here has experienced much fear, anger
and bloody battles. Its memory lies deep in the earth and remembered
by the granite which lies beneath the topsoil. Am I here to help the
Light to enter into this part of the castle of France? To find my own
Grace and to send it forth from this land of Asterix and Obelix?
Thanks for listening greetings and blessings to all love Jill
