Re: [MVP and MVPS Support] Update.. Oh what a ride...

To Lara, you may just have a rhythm problem with your heart, just a little
history on me. I had an episode of atrial fibrillation, that is when your
heart beats really fast and not regularly. Until I went into afib I never
had problems with my heart, I was 32 when it first happened. This is how I
found out I had MVP. Although I think my anxiety and the different pains I
have in my chest are associated with MVP, I also have an electrical problem
that causes irregular heart beat or fast heartbeat. I take meds to keep my
heart rate slow so I don't go into afib. I have even had surgery but that
wasn't a 100% cure. See a specialist and definitely stay off the caffeine
and any drugs that contain caffiene or psudophedrine,(anything with
phedrine) they will definitely cause you problems, also watch out for
alcohol. And don't take those diet pills out there, they will really cause
problems. This is just my experience. I know that docs don't believe mvp
causes anything but those of us who have mvps know that it does, just
remember there are other causes too. I hope this helps. I belong to a very
informative group with all kinds of rhythm problems that might be able to
reassure you about skipped and fast heartbeats. If you let me know I can
send you the link for the group. Colleen
