Hi everyone,
My 46 year old husband - slender, non-meat eater, non-smoker - has
jusst been diagnosed with severe (classic?) MVP with 90% mital
regurgitation and a flailing leaflet!!!! The first cardiologist told
us he most likely will need heart surgery to re-attach the flailing
leaflet.
Needless to say, this is terrifying - we have a 4 yo son and I
absolutely adore this man. Does anyone out there know someone who
has been through this type of surgery? I really need to talk to some
people who have gone through this and survived it! My husband has no
symptoms. We are going to get a 2nd opinion tomorrow.
I'm living in fear right now - help!
