hi! my cardio said that 50% of my kids will have mvp, mine being congenital.
that means if i have two kids, one will have mvp too, and it will most probably
be the female child.
as for the medication, i had a mini attack last year (i didn't even feel it but
my cardio detected it thru ecg) and he presecribed aspirin and some other
medicine first but i had allergic reactions, so now i'm taking propanolol. prior
to the attack, i wasn't given any medications.
hope this helps!

Hello,
I was diagnosed with MVP 4 1/2 years ago. I
get severe chest pain and pain in my left arm from it.
My cardiologist told me that I'd just have to deal
with all the symptoms because thats part of MVP. I
havent had insurance since then but once i do i plan
on getting a second opinion. I would suggest to you
that if you dont get all the answers to your questions
to get a second opinion. I've heard people say that
they take medication for their MVP. Just out of
curiosity,do you have kids? I am pregnant with my
first and i dont know if my MVP will act up when i
deliver.
