Hello. I am 24 and pregnant with my 4th child. I was "diagnosed"
with MVP in February, about two weeks before I found out I was
pregnant. I was prescribed toprol, but my family dr told me to stop
as soon as I found out about the pregnancy. Well now my OB/Gyn dr
has told me it is ok to take it, and that it is used to treat high
blood pressure in preg. I am really confused, I can't continue to
have the fluttery heart beats, but I don't want to harm my baby.
Does anyone have a personal experience using this drug in pregnancy,
or know of someone who has taken it? I take 25 mg/day, and I'm in
my 3rd month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
