This is a list for parents with children that have a Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (not Myotonic). The child was born (congenital) with a muscle disease that does not fit any of the other Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 40 identifed neuromuscular diseases (39 not counting this one). Congenital muscular dystrophy is a category in and of itself that includes a group of disorders specifically termed merosin positive CMD, merosin negative CMD, plus the very severe Fukuyama CMD and other forms as well.
