MULTITHEORETICAL PSYCHOTHERAPY. This online study group provides a way for psychotherapists, trainers, and supervisors to learn more about Multitheoretical Psychotherapy (MTP). MTP is a new approach to psychotherapy integration that allows therapists to focus on (1) thoughts, (2) actions, and (3) feelings, within the context of (4) biology, (5) interpersonal patterns, (6) social systems, and (7) cultural contexts. MTP identifies key strategies drawn from seven theoretical approaches to psychotherapy: (1) cognitive, (2) behavioral, (3) experiential, (4) health, (5) psychodynamic-interpersonal, (6) systemic-constructivist, and (7) multicultural.
