My best friend and I have been facinated with Indian culture and
style for several years. We've been wearing bindis and indian
jewelry to accessorize our otherwise american clothes for awhile,
but we'd both like to branch out a little. We think sarees are one
of the most beautiful styles a woman can wear. They really
celebrate femininity, I think.

What I needed to know: where to get sarees for good prices over the
internet, or in the Seattle area in the states. And, do sarees one
would buy over the internet come with the blouse and petticoat part,
or do I need to purchase those separately? And if so, where can I
order just the blouse and petticoat?

About culture, I need to know if anyone would find it offensive for
us to wear the traditional styles. Do you think anyone might feel
that we were disrespecting their heritage in any way? Were both
brunettes, but pretty pale, and definitely american looking. Id
love to explore indian culture, but I dont want to risk offending
anyone.

Thanks
Anneka
