MSHA is seeking nominations for awards to be presented at our Annual Convention on March 27th.  Award descriptions are listed below.  If you would like to nominate an individual for an award this year, please contact the MSHA office no later than February 20th with the information.  Thank you.
 
AWARDS:

MSHA Honors - is given to an individual who is a resident of Maryland and who has shown a commitment to assisting either directly or indirectly in the habilitation and rehabilitation of the communicatively handicapped.  The recipient may be an individual regardless of field or vocation, who has exemplified activities which affect the field of communicative disorders and are worthy of notable recognition.

 

Jo Bowling Award - is given in recognition of outstanding achievement and/or national recognition of an SLP in a school setting

 

William Hardy Award - is given in recognition of outstanding achievement and/or national recognition of an individual who works in a clinical or hospital setting.

 

Service Award - to be given to an individual who has been of exemplary service to MSHA.

 

Marie Noplock Award – is given in recognition of outstanding legislative advocacy for the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology in the state of Maryland.

 

Caregiver Award – is given to an outstanding caregiver (parent, guardian, etc) in the state of Maryland who has shown exemplary care to an individual(s) with speech or hearing disabilities, and has been an advocate in the state of Maryland.
