Congratulations, MSHA members. HB326 has passed the Senate and is headed for the governor's desk. The next step is to follow the governor's consideration of the bill and to make sure he is aware of its merits. If he signs the bill, then the revised statute for the Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech Language Pathologists will become Maryland law. This revised statute includes comprehensive licensure for speech language pathologists hired after October 1, 2007. This will be groundbreaking -- a significant change for our state.
