Here is the update I received from Richard Robinson....regarding
SLP-A's:

ASHA did away with their certification of SLP-A programs a few years
ago due to budget issues, so the Associate's degree never really took
off. I think that there might be a few programs around the country, but
I'm not sure where they are located.

In MD, Bachelor's degreed individuals can qualify to get an SLP-A
license, however, they still must go through a period of observation and
supervised practice with a licensed SLP. This training can be on the
job, however. The regs for this process should be on the Board of
Examiners web site.

I'm searching for any or all programs in Maryland for SLP Assistants?

The Board of Examiners for SLP's show 10 licensed in Maryland but I
cannot find where they are receiving their education for recruitment.
