I offered to post this for a colleague who is in desperate need of an
SLP in her area. Her 9 year old son who is in the 4th grade and lives
in Rockville (Olney area also easy) needs articulation therapy. The
parents have been dissatisfied with what he is being offered in the
school and feel they need to look outside the school system for help.
If you are a practitioner in this area and have an opening on your
caseload they would love to know where they can turn. I also advised
her to check with her insurance, but they are willing to pay out of
pocket if need be. If you have any other advice for her that you can
pass on I'd love to hear it as this is not my particular area of expertise.
