On August 14th my son Baby Owen would've been 4years old, He passed away due to
cot death April 14th 2006(Good Friday that year). He was Born August 14th 2005
it seem's to be so exact he was exactly 8 months and 2min's old when he was
taken with his little smile starting to show and a glint in his eye, just as if
he was about to wake BUT he never did and i must say the 1st year and few months
i was in shock & strong denial, that has sort of passed now, but im still very
much raw still running on auto pilot 90% of the time but trying to deal with the
loss of him that i'll never get over or through, only in time learn to live with
it, it's the devastation of loosing him and heart break i feel only someone
who's been through the same can truly understand, i say to people who ask to
times being hit by a train by a billon and it doesn't even come close to the
feeling it leaves sorry about the babbling i just cant stop when i start but now
im going to stop love to you all i truly know how you;r each feeling love Tracey

Hello Ladies~
  I know one of you for certain, Densy, my name is Jody and I lost
my 1st son Peyton James to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in
October 1999.  He was born April 4, 1999 (Easter Sunday that year). 
He was such a joy and the light of my life.  I thank God everyday I
had the 7 months with him that I was blessed with.  Please visit his

  I also have 2 more sons now, Colin (5-1/2) and David (3 soon to be
4).  I enjoy nothing more than being a mother and when Peyton died I
felt like my whole heart had been ripped out of my body.  Fortunate
for me God blessed me with a wonderful supportive family and I have
managed to make it throught the last 6-1/2 years with my sanity
mainly in tact.  With the help of God, my family, and a few
wonderful friends I have gone on to become a peer contact for other
families experiencing an infant loss such as mine or any other from
newborn to a year of age.  I do this through SIDS of Illinois
(sudden infant death services of IL) and I am also a SIDS
Educator/Trainer for central and downstate IL via SIDS of IL.
  I am 30, the mother of 3 boys, a teaching assistant, and a grief
counselor so to speak.  Oh and did I mention that I also do memorial
services for the same area.  Always busy!  LOL, wouldn't trade a
minute of it.  I firmly believe that this is what the Lord meant for
me to do when he sent me Peyton.  I hope to get to know all of you.
