Not as useful....but potentially telling. J Agric Food Chem. 2003 Sep
10;51(19):5671-6.
[PaulC, once again, simply throwing out a link to a PubMed abstract, or in the
second case not even supplying either a link or PMID, is not in accordance with
the seminar-like method of this group.
"Not as useful" - in what way and for what purpose is it useful or not useful?
"But potentially telling" - what is it "telling" about and why is this "telling"
only potential?
If you will not provide clear reasoning for and description of the value you
think is present in the citation you are providing - or a question about it if
that is what you are doing, then please do not simply post them expecting Paul
and me to do all of it. That is not making a contribution to the group. **Kitty]
I do have a PDF of the Worthington study if you would like it forwarded to you.
[This particular Worthington (Virginia) has published only in 2 different
alternative medicine journals, and consequently I do not have high confidence in
the quality of the peer-review done. It would be far better if she would submit
her studies to scientific journals where they can be properly scrutinized and,
once accepted for publication, be considered on a par with other serious
research.
However, a copy of the full paper should allow scrutiny of the validation of all
her statements by reference to peer-reviewed sources (including checking that
she has not misinterpreted those sources). You can verify that just as well as
we can. Have you done so? It would be a very worthwhile effort for you to do.
