[Our apologies to Martha on the posting delay of this message. For some unknown
reason Yahoo Groups identified this message as spam and put it into the Possible
Spam queue and never notified me, as is done with all messages going into the
regular Pending queue. Several obvious spam messages have gone into the Pending
queue as well as some into this Possible Spam queue, but this is the first time
a genuine message has wound up in the latter. I have found the Spam filter in
the Management section for this group and it is now turned off, since obviously
Yahoo does not have an accurate filtering process. **Kitty]

I am continuing to explore further possibilities re NALC.
The starting point will be a complete eye examination by a specialist.
The Life Extension Foundation's Brite Eyes costs approximately 1/2 of
what Dr. Babizhayev's product costs. However, since the Life
Extension Foundation is pretty mum about any information about
cataracts, I have been investigating the web sites associated with
Dr. Mark Babizhayev to learn more.
I have written to an email address on the web site for Dr.
Babizhayev's product, to check for any doctors in my area who might
be using the drops on their patients.
There are a large number of Russian immigrants in the Toronto area,
so possibly there may be some Russian doctor.
I have carefully read the information at the Babizhayev site below --
a pretty good summary. It does appear that the active ingredient is
NALC and likely only that. The ingredients are listed, and the
reported benefits, as reported by doctors and patients, are itemized
- re floaters, glare, cataracts. There are also dramatic pictures of
before (cataract) and after (clear eye).

Overall, rather encouraging -- tests show a continuing improvement
over 24 months. So the chances are good that I can avoid eye surgery.
One apparently should not expect anything much in the way of results
during the first month.
Suggested dose: 2 drops of Dr. Babizhayev's product (1% NALC) in the
eye, 3-4 times a day.
NOTABLE RECOMMENDATION: to wait for the first drop to be completely
absorbed before adding the second drop.
That makes me think that adding one drop, 8 times a day, would work
just as well, or maybe slightly better. Also, to what extent this
dose and timing was given so that the patients could conveniently
follow the instructions.
I have found in the past, a general rule that applies to many
different areas of life. Doing something or applying something a
little at a time, but often, works a lot better than doing or
applying a lot, but not so often.
QUESTION:
I still wonder about the 10% of the patients that showed little
improvement. Why might that be? Not long enough time period? Maybe
a combination of NALC and Alt-711 would work there.
