Hi all,
I was recently offered and then given a free 15 days full access
to : http://www.naturalstandard.com/index.asp
Matt Harmon from Natural Standards gave me a ring last week to
discuss membership and why he can't usually go any lower than $299
with the exception of end of year time period as right now. So I was
offered to pay $199/year but that offer terminated last Friday.
Despite being $100 discount on their regular asking price, I still
wanted to take some time to evaluate whether it was worth my while
or not.
So it occured to me to offer Paul to sample their website through me-
-Paul asked to be sent two sample monograps ; Resveratrol and
Astragalus.
Before I sent Paul those, I was already *somewhat* disapointed at
the yearly subcription fee/up to date content ratio, but I preferred
to run it by Paul to make certain my appraisal was accurate.
So now that the subject matter has been introduced, I'll let Paul
further discuss it.

[Here are my quick comments after a cursory examination and search of the two
monographs, slightly edited from what was initially sent to Marc by email.
1) In the Astragalus monograph there is no mention of cycloastragenol, TA-65, TA
Sciences or Geron. There is also no mention of high purity astragaloside IV
products and no review of *any* products at all, so the monograph contains
nothing but the same old information about astragalus which is all already
available on the Internet from various sources.
2) Similarly, and even worse, the resveratrol monograph did not mention the
research of David Sinclair at all! Nothing about high purity resveratrol or
about any supplement products at all.
Summary: for an alternative and complementary physician, this resource could be
a time saving method of finding out the standard information about a herb, but
for the serious life extensionist who is always looking for the newest
information and possible initial breakthroughs, this source will be of little
value. --Paul]
