Late yesterday afternoon I updated a few items at MoreLife.org,
including our health statistics - http://morelife.org/personal/health/
Thank you to the two readers who notified me of errors on the
Personal Index page. One of these necessitated me finding the Internet
Archive.org link to the 1999 CBC TV program "Stayin' Alive" that
featured an interview with Paul (as Tom Matthews; one of the 3 photos
of him seems not to have been transferred in the capture). It appears
that CBC has totally revamped their website and eliminated a lot of
older material, nothing about this program could be found there even
though Google still shows it on a search with appropriate terms. While
at Internet Archives.org, I found old links to the Institute for Neural
Cryobiology (INC) which Paul took over from Thomas Donaldson in 1997
and headed until 2001 (after which time the website was not kept up,
unfortunately, and the URL fell into the hands of someone who made it
a porn site). Information about the hippocampal slice work that INC
arranged and funded can be found at this archived website; this work
was performed under the guidance of a researcher at 21st Century
Medicine (link now provided), of which Paul was one of the 3 founders.
In between helping Paul with the cottage renovation work, I also
managed to put together a small photo page of some items from this
past winter in Arizona. http://morelife.org/personal/photos/
And speaking of the cottage changes, they are moving along quite well.
The beam is up! And it is very nice indeed to have the enlarged living
room that includes our office and gives us a lovely view of the woods
to the east and the lake to the west. The bedroom wall has now been
rebuilt, putting to end our open-concept sleeping quarters that we had
since last summer. For members here, a preview of the "new look"
(still much to do) can be seen in the Group's Photo Section
http://health.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/morelife/photos (Yahoo only
allows access to photos by group members.)
