October has been a very busy month for me in the writing department.
In addition to numerous (mostly) short items of commentary that I've
placed on various websites/blogs and letters submitted to news site
editors, there are two additional pieces at the Self-Sovereign
Individual Project created since my last special announcement early
in the month.
Yesterday I uploaded at item spurred by a local incident, but which
unfortunately happens these days virtually everywhere.
"Harm Resulting from Boredom; Causes and Solutions"
http://selfsip.org/focus/boredom.html
"We were bored" is the reason given by local teenagers for
vandalizing a restaurant; a deeper look is provided at what this
really means and how to eliminate it as a reason for destructive
actions.
On 10/14, just before we left on our drive down here to Arizona, I
uploaded an item that arose from the earlier exchanges with my
nephew Aaron and a separate dialogue with a libertarian blogger -
"Communication Fluidity and the Obstacle of Privacy Claims"
http://selfsip.org/focus/communication.html
Those who claim that emails and other forms of communication are by
default private, unless permission has been granted to use them, are
denying certain basic facts of reality. I would very much like to
see a libertarian writer who disagrees with the premise and/or its
application, present an article stating where s/he disagrees with
what I have written and why. This would be a good opportunity to
openly discuss this subject of privacy "rights" that far too many
liberty defenders of all shades just accept as a given. Of course

While at it, updates to the MoreLife/SelfSIP Supporting page have
also been done. http://morelife.org/supporting.html
