The purpose of MOBI is to provide a supportive environment to mothers who are/were struggling with above-norm breastfeeding problems or breastfeeding failure. For more information visit our website at http://www.mobimotherhood.org
MOBI, a community of mothers and breastfeeding specialists, tries to provide women with compassion and understanding, whether their issues involve concrete breastfeeding questions, or emotional issues, such as helplessness, anger, and grief. The medical or emotional issues discussed at MOBI are not intended as a substitute for consultation from your health-care provider.
The breastfeeding issues we frequently discuss include untimely weaning, re-lactation and getting a baby back to the breast, low milk supply, building milk supply, herbs and foods to support milk supply, overactive milk-ejection reflex, breast refusal, nursing strikes, teething issues, mismanagement at hospital, postpartum depression, PCOS, sucking issues, tongue-tie, using a supplemental feeding device, pumping, colic, allergy, neurological issues or delays, therapies for babies with neurological issues, and GERD-reflux. If you have an issue that is not listed here, feel free to ask and we will try to help.
Due to MOBI's confidential nature, membership is restricted and is decided on an individual basis. Sometimes, more appropriate groups are recommended. If you request to join MOBI you will immediately get an automated message asking for additional information. If you do not get this or do not hear anything from MOBI please contact the list owner directly. If you don't hear from MOBI within a few days then there has likely been a technical error and you should contact the list owner and resubmit your introduction.
